Matthieu Ricard

Matthieu Ricard visited our center on May 8, 2018 for a public talk on “The art of meditation”.

Over 300 people from around Switzerland, Germany and France gathered for a unique talk on the practice of meditation. Clear explanations, deep embodiment, sense of humor, lightheartedness… all these are some of the terms that help define what Matthieu Ricard brings to his audience… and to us, as organizers.

The talk was followed by the official opening of Matthieu’s photo exhibition: Half a century in the Himalaya. Forty-five pictures taken throughout his long time in retreat in the Himalayas featuring images of a sublime and touching beauty.

The opening was enhanced by a thematic buffet all along the way the photographs path. Matthieu opened the exhibition with anecdotes and memories of the moment at which he took the pictures… It was such a joy to have him share his experiences and anecdotes with us!
