A personal retreat offers the opportunity to withdraw from everyday life and become intimate with aspects of ourselves that tend to go unnoticed through the busyness of live. In an individual retreat, away from daily distractions, it is easier to look into the repetitive patterns that lead you into unhealthy behaviors. At the core of silence, calmness, openness and simplicity can just wash away tiredness, fogginess and toughness and allow us to reconnect simply with beauty as it is.
Be it for a solitary mindfulness, vipassana, or Vajrayana Buddhist practice, or for any kind of spiritual journey you are engaged in, we have created a space for you to be, here at Landguet Ried.
Your personal retreat spot is within the grounds of the retreat center, which is located on a hill in the middle of nature, surrounded by woods and in the middle of beautiful park-like grounds. Hiking trails pass through the premises and guide you through fields, meadows, hills and forests to scenic sites with views of the mountains of the nearby Swiss Gantrisch Nature Park. A great starting point for your walks or excursions and a wonderful area for walking meditations, right in front of your door. We welcome guests for 5 nights or longer personal retreats.
If that is your wish, you will also find the opportunity to exchange and share with a small spiritual community living on site.

The “STÖCKLI”
The «Stöckli» – a small house, which historicaly was built for the retired farmers after the farm was handed over to the heirs – can also be rented for self-organized and self-catered retreats or is a perfect space for a small family or a couple get away.
Equipment
The «Stöckli» is equipped with a kitchen living room, toilet and shower, storage room and a two bed room with a sofa, table, chair and meditation area.
In the nearby «Brickhouse» you find a laundry and drying room, storage room e.g. for bicycles. There are shopping facilities nearby or directly on the premises from our own permaculture cultivation (depending on the season). Bed linen and towels are included in the accommodation price.
Prices for your retreat
CHF 80.– per night
Price is for single person, for one additional adult person + CHF 60.–.
Incl. bed linen and towels per person.
One-off final cleaning costs CHF 70.–.
As of a 7-night stay 10 % discount on the daily rate applies
The “TINY HOUSE”
Thank you so much for having organised my retreat in your beautiful tiny house. Falling asleep on the edge of the forest with the stars shining and waking up at dawn with the first colors of the sun ... what a joy! It did me a lot of good to be in this peaceful place, full of positive energy. A beginner's version of the bus featured in the film "Into the Wild" with an Asian touch …

Equipment
The “Tiny House” is equipped with a single bed (which can be converted into a double bed), table, chair, meditation area, a kitchenette with a twin hotplate, water tank and a wood burning oven. No electricity.
In the nearby «Brickhouse» shared showers and toilets to use, electricity, water, laundry and drying room, shared use of common lounge space. Also: WLAN, drying/storage room e.g. for bicycles, shopping facilities nearby or directly on the premises from our own permaculture cultivation (depending on the season). Bed linen and towels are included in the accommodation price.
