RIPA AWARENESS MEDITATION

RIPA AWARENESS MEDITATION
Teaching cycle with Geneviève Hamelet

A progressive cycle of mindfulness meditation sessions, as proposed in the "Ripa Awareness Meditation" method.

Ripa Awareness Meditation (RAM) is a simple and effective method of stabilizing the mind by using SHAMATA, a thousand-year-old technique that takes breathing as a support to develop "mental calmness". Once the mind is at ease, it introduces aspects of VIPASSANA meditation, or "penetrating vision", facilitating approaches that free the mind from conceptual fabrication.  Attentive presence and mindfulness work together to help us accept life situations as they are and make them the very object of our meditative practice.

Dana – or the practice of generosity
We are extremely fortunate to have Geneviève Hamelet giving these teachings, which she offers in the ancient Buddhist Theravada tradition of dana, donation principle, not charging any set fees. The practice of generosity is a key virtue to be developed in the Buddhist tradition, and teachers depend on the participants’ generosity to make a living. Again, thank you!
